The Law Firm Commercial Practice program targets the law firms as strategic partners in providing the hand-on experiential instruction for students

The Clinic has built and continues to build partnerships between academia, legal practice and private business sector to address the business and economic development legal challenges.

The Law Firm Commercial Practice program brings in law firms to enhance commercial law practice knowledge and at the same time equip law students with practical commercial law lawyering skills drawn from experiences in the field. The program allows the students a practical learning of the practice.

Under the law firm partnerships, the Clinic engages in:

• Knowledge sessions for law students
• Mentoring and modelling between advocates and law students
• Student internships and externships
• Support of legal aid cases under the Clinic
• Law firm involvement in community engagements under the Clinic
• Innovation and design of legal products and services
